One More Day for…….Change?

Really? I’m not even an American, and im writing a blog post about change because OBAMA got a better chance to be the next president of America. That idea is, as gracefully said by my friends over Twitter, dumb and a very good example of when human sometimes got a small syndrome called ‘over expectation’. Well, first, i’d like to congratulate everyone that lives in America. You’re literally having a historic election, as you have a candidate who runs as THE HANDS OF GOD, or in a simple word, Messiah. Yeap. Messiah, as it’s the first time in my glorious 18 years old life, i’m seeing people here, a 200 million nation, bigest moslem nation in the world, supporting a democrat candidate who’s in favor of abortion & gay marriage.

I know, sounds incredible right?

It’s incredible. And it’s, unfortunately, still in a level of ONLY sounds incredible. I, for one, can’t wait when Obama really got into the oval office and govern as a president. Will change actually happen once he take the right of super-erratic, war-president-of-cowboy Dubya? Or, for more of the important issue, what change, in terms of his international policy, will affect my country, or heck, even in my beloved continent, Asia?

Apparently Obama, well, kinda forgot that Asia, kinda exist. At least from the information that i gathered from my uninformed alter ego Hahaga *he’s japanese*, never once in all three debate i heard both candidate, well, debate. Over Asia’s importancy.

So right now, in my curiosity over this topic of foreign policy, i conduct a little research about Asia on Obama-Biden 2008-goin’ to white house agenda. By ’small’, i mean i go to their website and quote their actual plan. Anyway, here’s what i’ve found :

Seek New Partnerships in Asia: Obama and Biden will forge a more effective framework in Asia that goes beyond bilateral agreements, occasional summits, and ad hoc arrangements, such as the six-party talks on North Korea. They will maintain strong ties with allies like Japan, South Korea and Australia; work to build an infrastructure with countries in East Asia that can promote stability and prosperity; and work to ensure that China plays by international rules.

That’s it. That’s the only compilation of lines i could find by searching the word ‘asia’ on my Firefox search bar. Isn’t that sucks? We literally the biggest continent in the world, yet their only agenda regarding Asia is to “seek new partnerships with asia” and to (by my ‘free’ interpretation) ‘make sure all those crazy nutjobs who still dream to rule the world like in all crappy movies in this fucking 21st century still can only dreams.

Come to think of it, well, Asia really is not as important as i may have thought.

First, we currently didn’t have direct security problem or relationship with USA. Second, in terms of economic, yes we Asia has enormous amount of export-import over here to there and there to here, but Japan as the strongest economic nation in asia, are only second to USA in terms of the whole economic packaging overall. So you can guess, the only important problem to deal here in Asia is oil, which lies in, well, they didn’t count it as Asia anymore. It’s middle east. And i can’t find out (i’m sure thay can’t too at this point) which middle east and what middle east they’re talking about. I know they’re talking about Saudi Arabia, and the whole other ‘arabian thing’, but you know, some parts of it is, actually, IN ASIA.

So yes, back to my first ultimate question. What change will Obama really gives me as an inhabitant of the world? Asia, to be exact?

First, George Bush will not visit this country anymore (I hope)

Yep. As long as he didn’t visit nor give his ultimately retarded speech here in Asia or Indonesia, world is a better place.

Second, Obama, at some point are a student in Indonesia’s academic system

Elementary. At Elementary level of his academic journey, he’s here, as a student that study Indonesian Language. Man that’s god-damn bad-ass if you ask me! I mean, having the leader of tha free world (although is not THAT free anymore, from what i’ve heard *hint* AIG * hint*) can speak, at least 2 word in Indonesia and (i hope) actually care a bit more about this country other than just regard it as “that dummy large country who’s i’ve been there to meet the president before i travel the the more awesome-neighbour country, Bali.

Well, how can i put this. Bali, is actually a PART of Indonesia.

Third, Obama is a nice topic to bring up in my Twitter, well, to get new followers.

Yes. And further explanation about this is on my twitter.

Fourth, Obama will, um, change things.

This sounds stupid, but to see that ‘change’ is a very strong word and, kinda like Viagra in nature, i really really wonder why Kerry failed to discover this in 04′. Obama ‘change’ had literally change himself from normal candidate to a messiah. And why is that? Because by using this word, you’re implicitly expressed that you can CHANGE anything from that annoying little acne in your forenose to how China, North Korea, Iran, Israel, Pakistan, yeah, the whole package of hundreds of millions of people do things. And i can only say good luck, if you fail, other people will regard you as a big a-hole.

So tomorrow, consider this : when Obama get elected, it will be a pretty historic day of when the first African-American President get elected, with enormous amount of promise. Even if he failed at what he promised to do, it will still be a great win because George W. Bush will not be American President anymore. I’m hoping war on terror will get notch down a bit, because the whole thing is kinda like a super package of rethoric bullshit.

But if McCain win, consider we all fucked.
